Crisp Bros Racing Factory and Co-Factory Team was represented well throughout the weekend. Friday saw Sam Baber, Hayden Jones, Steve Ewart and Katlyn Anne Smith kick of their State Titles Campaigns. Hayden Jones “Going into the QLD State Titles I felt really confident and keen to race! In my motos I was feeling good and taking it smart and easy and ended up coming 2nd 1st 1st 1st which put me in for first pick in the semi final and ended up winning making it into the final. I had 2nd pick for the final and chose lane 4, this was my smoothest race of the day, winning my First QLD state final. I'd like to say a massive thank you to all my Sponsors, Family and Friends who supported me and cheered me on from the side lines!” Sam Baber represented CBR in 30-34 mens class, the competitive class of 10 rider had Sam keep his CBR01 at the pointy end in all his moto’s. With the top 8 riders going straight into a final. In the final Sam had a great gate and lead into the first corner but not for long with Sam getting a little loose in the 2nd straight loosing the lead. The chase was on with Luke Marsh also getting loose on the last straight giving Sam enough room to take the win!” 45-49 Men saw Steve Ewart get down to business with a win in all his moto’s. The strong class of 15 riders was reduced down to 8. Steve having first lane pick choosing lane 1 in the stacked final. Steve getting his usual quick gate out and headed down the first straight. Bumping bars with going into the first corner Steve was pushed out into the pro straight line loosing his spot and rhythm finishing at the back of field.

Katlyn Anne Smith "Arriving at the track it was looking sweet, I pulled awesome results in my heats all day placing 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 2nd in block 2!! This then put me straight through into the final :) Coming into the final confident I had a great gate and slotted into 5th position until the end!! Taking away 5th in 17-24 women!!” Saturday greeted us with another perfect day. AA Pro Men Matt Hollibone and AA Pro Women Kate Van Zanden hitting the 8m hill plus Bailey Mitchell in a stacked 13 Boys class of 46 riders. Matt Hollibone “Felt awesome to be racing at the Qld State Champs, I ended up qualifying to the semi and pulling a 2nd place which sat me into the final, I felt confident for the final but I got caught up down second pro straight which made me unclip and crash off the track. Overall day was awesome and I'm loving my 22" Crisp CBR01 Race Bike” Kate Van Zanden "From winning all my motos on the Sunday with the 17-24men to getting 5th overall in AA women on the following Saturday! Racing on the Sunday In the first moto I came out of the gate didn't fully commit leaving me with a safe 5th. Second and third race not being as confident on the first jump. In the final I smashed the gate jumped the first double, third into first corner. Second straight was hard and fast unfortunately I unclipped in the second corner ending up with fifth. Thanks for the support from my family and my sponsors." Co-Factory Bailey Mitchell was feeling good going into the BMX State Championships. “My goal was to make the final and do better than my last year's result, which was 7Q. I had a great start, making it through to the final and finishing in 4th position. I am happy with my result and looking forward to continuing to improve." Last day of the State Champs saw the big wheels hit the track in the Cruiser classes. Steve Ewartwas back to have a crack. Steve was on borrowed cruiser for the day (thanks Stephen Ball). Once again Steve had the Crisp CBR01 at the pointy end in all the moto’s progressing through to finals taking home podium position and 3Q plate. Overall the Queensland States was great success for the rides and the brand, congrats.
